We arrived at Burnside Homestead for a 2 nights stay and were not sure what to expect. What a warm welcome from Cathy and Marc! This really is an amazing house - a bit like a museum. Very clean room and ancient bathroom. The beautiful winter garden, hall and billiard room to be used by all guests. Delicious breakfast - and coffee/tea making facilities at any time. Also drinks etc. available for purchase - as the place is a bit remote. We visited Oamaru and enjoyed the wonderful garden at Burnside Homestead and the company of the lovely hosts.
